Sun June 14
Sarah ends up 20th
Sarah is done due to engine trouble.

“At the start of the race, we had a different car through Turns 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 – push at one end and loose at the other – but we were able to make some adjustments during our pit stops, and I worked with the bars on the track until the car was very drivable. My Chevy engine stayed solid throughout the race, and we were able to pass people and move up through the field. Then while I was coming through Turns 3 and 4, my throttle switch stuck and shut off, ending our day.” Said Sarah

Pre-Race Thoughts
“Pikes Peak is going to offer us another chance to shine on a short track. We had a really great run in Phoenix and hopefully some of what we learned there can be used to our advantage in Colorado. I missed Colorado last year and haven’t even seen the track since 2001, so it will take me a lap or two to get back in the groove. But just like riding a bike, once you learn, you never forget.” Said Sarah
