8th Place Finish at Kentucky !

Sarah led the first 26 laps of what turned out to be one of her best overall performances as an IRL driver. She came out of the first pit stop 10th and had to work her way back to the front. Sarah "Our guys did a great job of changing all four tires quickly and adding some front wing, but we had a problem with the fuel hose dispersing the fuel quickly enough, which set us back in the field."
Sarah was the fastest car on the track several times during the day, especially after she had a few laps on her tires. She fought her way all the way up to 3rd at one point. And in the final laps she kept us on the edge of our seats as she battled side by side with Alex Barron for many laps before passing him for 8th. "The car was a little loose after the last pit stop, gave me a little scare going into the turn."

Sarah has the Pole for the Belterra Casino Indy 300 !

(Sparta, Kentucky) Sarah Fisher will lead the field to the green flag tomorrow. Sarah set a new track record of 221.390 mph.  " I think this track fits my driving style to a T. I can get around this place. I have never been this excited to race, I am ready to go." Fellow short track veteran Billy Boat had this to say after Sarah bumped him from the pole,  " She definitely has got her confidence back and she has done a great job. She earned that 221.390 lap."
