Fisher Debuts Bryant/CAN Entry
and Wraps Indy Open Test
Indianapolis, IN (April 29, 2004)
Sarah Fisher, who was on track for
the first time this season, completed 149 trouble-free laps with
her No. 39 Bryant/CAN crew and posted a top speed of 214.784
mph/41.9026 seconds.
Team manager Paul Harcus oversaw the test for Kelley Racing and
was pleased
with
the progress of the Kelley Racing Dallara/Toyota/Firestone
entries. “For our first test with Sarah I’m pretty happy with our
results,” Harcus said. I’m a firm believer though, that after two
weeks of practice at the Speedway we’ll be in good shape.”
Sarah was happy to be back in the drivers seat after sitting out
the first three events of the season. “It’s been a good first two
days back in the car after almost eight months,” Fisher explained.
“We’re not exactly where we want to be but we’re not disappointed
in today’s efforts and what we’ve achieved. It’s nice because I’ve
worked with about two-thirds of my crew in the past so we’ve
gelled really quickly, we have a good team with good camaraderie
and that makes things run much more smoothly.”
Sarah and Kelley Racing has returned to the Indianapolis shop and
will continue preparations for opening day at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway on May 9.
