Friday, October 10, 2003 Sarah qualified with a speed of 216.917 for a 21st position start for Sunday's race. “The car set up, post-gearbox change, was good – we don’t know at this point why we weren’t running any faster like our 218 mph earlier today. We ran flat and kept to the white line with little to no push, it just wouldn’t pull the way we would have liked late in the day. This is still my favorite track even though we haven’t had much luck here – hopefully we can change that streak come Sunday.” Sarah was running in the 21st position with speeds reaching 219.042. |

Pre-Race Quote “It’s been a tough season for us. My teammate has come up in the ranks a bit, but unfortunately the No. 23 car has not been able to keep up. We look forward to the final race, though, at Texas October 12. We are focused on utilizing everything we’ve got right now in the best way possible. If we do that, it will be a successful race. It is an honor to be racing side-by-side with the top five contenders in such a close championship race. We look forward to seeing where we all sit after the Chevy 500" |
